I am an enthusiastic designer and illustrator based just north of London who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. I am used to and enjoy working in a variety of fields from print to hand made design to art direction. I have a passion for image making often combining a mix of styles and media to create strong bold imagery. 

Many of my influences stem from my lifelong interest in graffiti and punk and I enjoy incorporating elements of these aesthetics in my work when possible. I enjoy creating bright playful and humorous imagery in order to create a dialogue with the viewer.

The work I have included as part of this degree show reflect this ability to work in a variety of styles and media in response to a diverse range of briefs as detailed below.

Elmwood Brief: These designs are from a brief to design a futuristic children’s drink that protects the drinker against injury. The illustrations are bright and childlike to reflect the target audience.

D&AD Brief: These designs were in response to the D&AD brief of combining a musical genre with typography to highlight an issue in the world today. For this I chose “The Dicks- Hate the Police” and the issue of police brutality. This brief allowed me to explore traditional methods of punk design and production to create images and objects that were authentic and strongly carried the message.

Independent project: These are a selection of designs from my independent project for which I set my self the brief of creating an exhibition helping create a more positive and welcoming dialogue surrounding refugees in the UK. This brief allowed me to explore how to use design as a catalyst for change and how it can help spark important conversations in our society.

Marketing: These photos were part of the art direction and photography for a Leeds based accessories brand “Claudia Canova”. This was the first time I’ve attempted art direction and photography and would be keen to try this again.
