The installation is intended to be an immersive and interactive experience that elevates your mood, feelings and behaviours using colour, sound and vibration. The inclusion of mirrored walls forms a distorted state of consciousness as the echoed reflections alter the perspective and create the sense of infinity to the piece. The installation distorts the viewers perception of reality using psychedelic colours, reflections and vibrational frequencies through sound and oscillation. The idea of immersivity enables the removal of any outside distractions and encourages the viewer to detach from reality. Using a variation of colours and combining them with different sounds and vibrations attempts to create a sense of synaesthesia, a condition where one sensory stimulates another at the same time. It is considered to enhance the sensory system, and even swap sensors which are not commonly connected. My installation explores how one can interpret sound, colour and vibrations differently, mixing the receptors in the brain, inducing a feeling of synaesthesia.

The idea of alternative healing underpins my practice, as ancient rituals through sound, colour and vibrations have been used in order to generate a healthy state of mind. The colour palette is influenced by the mental health colour code, as well as colours which are considered to heal the body through chromotherapy. Whilst all participants will have slightly varied responses to the visuals and audio of my meditative space, the intended response is to enhance positivity and tranquillity. Incorporating ancient Eastern practices through modern technology enables people to take a break from their chaotic everyday lives, and experience balance and composure.
