Hi! I am Marla Perelmuter. I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts USA and decided to move to the London in 2016. Although I wasn’t into design originally, I got an internship in marketing where they had me learn Photoshop and InDesign. This led me to discover my love for graphic design. I then came to Leeds where I completed the School of Design International foundation year and moved on to this course. I am passionate about advertising and brand design which is why I am very excited to be starting as an Assistant Art Director at a pharmaceutical advertising agency in NYC this month! I am eager to take the skills and design eye that I have gained here and develop them further in the ‘real world’.
This course has allowed me to develop my personal style and apply it to a range of design outcomes. The project seen here is my independent project that combines my passions for fun design and dogs. ‘Oh My Dog!’ is a dog food lifestyle and subscription box that has a witty design and copywriting style. The target audience for the brand is young dog owners, specifically millennials who are the number one dog owning generation.
