Hi, I’m Daisy. After 4 years of being a graphic designer, and working as an in house UX/UI and graphic designer for TopCashback, it’s safe to say my Adobe Suite skills are sharp (although I am forever learning). My year in industry has played the most important role in my graphics career to date. Without going into the workforce, I would not have excelled as highly as I did this year, in terms of professionalism, efficiency, and overall design skills. I used the confidence I gained during my placement to start a side hustle alongside my final year; where I was commissioned to illustrate people’s pets.
My love for animals extended into my independent project. Barkology is an app that matches users to breeds of dogs that they are most suited towards. It is in the style of a dating app, asking personal questions which correlate to a traits in a dog. Promotional materials are placed in pedestrian areas, such as in parks, to encourage those with a dog, to try and find their perfect dog match.
Greyhound Protection Organisation project hijacks the video recordings of greyhound races with facts about the behind the scenes. The campaign would ideal enlightened people oblivious to the mistreatment, and give their winnings to the charity.
Snap, Crackle, Pop is an abstract information design. The infographic exhibition depicts the months of October, November, and December. Now that I’m officially done with higher education, you can catch me planning for holidays post COVID-19, crafting, or crying over Gilmore Girls. To see the fun crafts I get up to head over to my Instagram @brazenelldesign. Or for my official finished work, my portfolio can be found online.
