This collection encapsulates the theme “Glitch”. It portrays the possibility of transforming a glitch, associated with disruption, into an exciting piece of art which is further translated into a textile design. The motivation behind exploring this theme was due to the world’s increasing reliance on technology and the digital world we currently, and will continue to live in. My design process was extremely important in forming the final product; I aimed to embrace glitches and create further visual research containing successful design characteristics such as depth, contrast of colour, line and shape. The collection includes stylistically varied designs ranging from complex layered repeats to engineered pieces of artwork, all achieved using a variety of mediums, scale, texture and composition. The designs are aimed at the high-end interiors market, providing a high level of quality and unique design, made from a sustainable viewpoint with the aim to ensure the customer’s full satisfaction and enjoyment of the products for years to come.

This collection has expanded my Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills; my understanding of design; as well the importance of creating a product with sustainable values in mind. I aim to create a positive difference within the design industry; discovering pathways to learn new skills and expand my knowledge and experience as a Print Designer.
