For my final project, I have based myself on the theme of social recluse and illegal housing that affects major cities around the world that I have tacked in my previous work. Keeping these thematics, I decided to try a different medium and create a video game that features a person living as a recluse, as he spends most of his day playing games on his computer. To provide more context and enhance the involvement with the video game, I created an introductory animation that, through opening sequences, gives a glimpse of the world and story you are about to enter through the video game, connecting it with the thematic of my previous work. Almost every video game has an introductory video and gaming companies use these videos to grab your attention, possibly even more so than the incoming game is going to.

Through the research of different games, and because of my love for the Mario Bros game, I used a 2D platform for my game. I also maintained the two dimensional anime style I used for the art and introductory video.

I chose to make a video game because it is narratively and structurally different and diverse as it connects with the viewer in a different way, giving them the chance to interact with the work itself.
