Hello, my name is Jamie and I have showcased a series of three projects from my university work at the University of Leeds, one of which being my final project.
My key interest within the design industry is editorial design: design for magazines and books are where I am the most keen to direct the focus of my research and work. Whilst studying at Leeds, I have developed both my understanding of the practice of graphic design as well as gained the ability to think through a design problem using an structured, research applied approach and process which informs the overall quality of the solutions I have presented over the course of my degree.
Below are some snippets from my final project, NIP Editions, a Belfast-based creative publisher that aims to promote social progress and cross community integration through the Arts and Design scene. NIP Editions, or Northern Irish Press Editions, promotes the work of Northern Irish creatives and gives them a platform, a means for generating income and support network for Northern Irish art and creatives.
